Micah, who works on how the business runs, and Isaac, who builds the AI, in the AI audit

Stackenta is built for small businesses. It is a small company of two partners, Micah Olson and Isaac Cloward, who run your AI audit together. Micah has built systems for businesses since the late 1990s. Isaac has put more than 2,000 hours into building with AI and has built enterprise SaaS platforms from scratch. Whether that makes us the best choice depends on what you need, so here is how to think about it.

Does the size of the consulting company matter?

Many small business owners say it does. Plenty of AI consulting firms are built around large companies, with processes, team structures and prices to match. That can work if you have a large project. For a business with a handful of people, it can mean paying for layers you don’t use, and explaining your business to someone who will pass it to someone else.

A small company has fewer layers between you and the people doing the work. The trade-off is capacity: two partners can only take on so many clients at once, and a larger firm can staff a bigger or faster project.

Who would you work with?

Both of us. You book a short initial call on this site with one of us. Then Micah and Isaac sit in the AI audit together, a free conversation of about an hour where we ask about your business, your pain points and where you want to go.

Micah works on how the business runs. He has designed systems for businesses since the late 1990s, has coached business owners and real estate agents, and built one of the largest attorney-backed short-sale processing systems in Utah. Isaac builds the AI. His published background is more than 2,000 hours of building with AI, enterprise SaaS platforms built from scratch, and coaching CEOs, business owners and their teams on putting AI to work.

What does this look like for a small business?

A real estate agent with over 15 listings, with one part-time assistant, asked for help with his own time. We found the assistant’s work was full of inefficiency. We designed a system that would cut about 90% of the time out of her workflow, freeing her for work that needs a person without adding to her hours, and cut the agent’s own routine tasks by almost 80%. Neither of them is a technology company. The work is about how their week runs.

What should you ask any AI consulting company?

  • Who will actually do the work, and will I talk to them?
  • Can you name something you built and what changed because of it?
  • Do I keep control of my accounts and data if we stop working together?
  • What would you tell me not to automate?
  • How long until I see something running, and what do you need from me?

Our answers: you talk to the two of us, we can describe real builds, you keep your content and data and can export it any time, the proposal says what not to automate, and the first iterations are typically built within about a week of you accepting a proposal.
